Become A Domestic Goddess In Your Home With Cute Aprons
Apr 2011 26

It has never been so popular now to put on Aprons and be described as a domestic goddess.

Associated and first coined by celebrity chef Nigella Lawson, the home based term has now been installed as a recognised word into the Oxford English Dictionary.

The famous dictionary, which makes hundreds of new word or phrase entries each year, has updated the book for the upcoming year and one if the new admissions, is the word domestic goddess.

The latest edition which has thousands of submitted entries, ranges from full phrases to text speak and symbols. Only the best and most recognised words get the green light and fortunately Nigella’s invented expression is one of them.

Even kids can get involved too with Childrens Aprons; although technically it does refer to a woman with exceptional domestic skills in the kitchen and can be likened to a goddess in the home. The woman excels at cooking and making meals for the family which is a traditional role the woman used to play in households before equality and gender prejudice came into force.

As explained, the 51 year-old chef coined the phrase in one of her recipe books and now the word is in every Brit’s vocabulary.

So become a domestic goddess in your home with cute PVC Aprons from Ulster Weavers.
